We are a family run business in the southeastern United States, dedicated to crafting the cleanest luxury, natural skincare from our own goat milk and South Carolina raised tallow. Our work is guided by a love for the land, care for our animals, and a passion for using ingredients in their purest form. Every product we create reflects our commitment to quality and tradition.
What began as a small farm operation rooted in curiosity and a desire for simplicity has grown into a trusted source for luxury, handcrafted skincare. Rachael Herndon
Rachael is the founder of The Tallow House and steward of Southern Oaks Ranch + Dairy, where she leads a return to traditional, farm-based skincare rooted in nourishment and integrity. As a passionate farmer, educator, and maker with years of hands-on experience, her work is grounded in a deep respect for the land, the animals, and the time-honored practices that shape everything we create.
Rachael loves working with her hands and feels deeply blessed by the land she calls home, always striving to share the knowledge and goodness she has learned with others. This connection to the land is at the heart of her philosophy, guiding her approach to creating products that are simple, intentional, and rooted in real nourishment.
With a focus on skin as a living system, she works with nutrient-dense, whole ingredients that support the skin in a more natural way, bridging the gap between food and skincare through every formulation.
In addition to crafting each product, Rachael oversees all aspects of the farm and business, from production to education, while continuing to teach and share a more connected, sustainable way of living.
