Five steps to get it right.

Start with clean, fresh skin

Nourishment absorbs best on clean skin. Our tallow and goat milk cleansing bars are made for exactly this job, but any gentle cleanse will do.

Use far less than you think

A pea-sized amount for the face, a small fingertip for body areas. Tallow is concentrated. If your skin feels greasy, you used too much, not the wrong product.

Warm it first

Melt the amount between your fingertips, then massage gently in circular motions. Applied properly, it absorbs naturally without heavy residue.

Expect it to feel different

The texture is richer than commercial lotion, and absorption varies by skin. Different isn’t wrong. It’s what skincare felt like before water and fillers.

Give it a few weeks

Skin adjusts on its own schedule. With consistent use, most people notice steadier hydration and less of the irritation that synthetic products can cause.

Who It’s Especially Good For

Skin that’s tired of being experimented on.

Tallow tends to do its best work on dry, sensitive, or compromised skin, the skin that has already tried everything. Individual results vary, of course. But there is very little in the jar to object to, and that alone is a relief for a lot of faces.
