The Apiary

The hives behind the jar.

Most bee venom skincare begins with an ingredient order. Ours begins with bees we keep, on land that we tend.

At Southern Oaks

Thousands of bees,
kept the slow way.

Our estate apiaries are working hives first. They pollinate the pastures and provide the wild honey, propolis, and royal jelly in our formulations.

The bee venom in our Nature's Botox collection comes from this same world of beekeeping, held to the same standard as everything else we raise: known origin, careful hands, nothing anonymous.

Gathered Without Harm

No bee is lost to the jar.

Bee venom can be collected without a single sting. The bees deposit trace amounts on a collection surface and return to the hive unharmed, and the colony carries on as usual.

It's the same rule we apply to every animal on this farm: if it costs the creature, we don't do it.

bee venom skincare

Bee venom is often added to skincare in amounts small enough that no one expects you to ask. We take the opposite view: state the concentration, print it plainly, and let the jar be judged on what's actually in it.

Where This Is Headed

Bigger than skincare.

Our long-term vision is to build one of the country's leading agricultural apiaries dedicated to ethically harvested bee venom, and to help advance the conversation around responsible harvesting and the emerging field of apitherapy through education and research.

We aren't promising future products, and we don't make medical claims. We're building the kind of apiary this field will need, and doing it in the open, from a farm on Wadmalaw Island.

Before You Use Bee Venom

Our bee venom products are not for everyone. If you're allergic to bee stings or bee-derived ingredients, they're not for you, and we'd rather tell you that plainly.
